How to make sure that your images are formatted for use in e-mail newsletter?

  • Tips: Use files format that can be read by e-mail browsers. There are 3 best files formats to use in email browsers.
  1. JPEG Format
  2. GIF Format
  3. PNG Format

I will attached a news letter image file with different format and describe the differences.

JPEG (Joint Pictures Expert Group)

This format is a standard for internet and e-mail images,

and work well for most images.

The example of this news letter file image on the right is

formatted as JPEG with file size of 6.51 K bytes.

GIF (Graphic Interchange Format)

This format is best for images with only few colours

formatted as GIF with file size of 16.0K bytes.

PNG (Portable Network Graphics)

This format is similar to GIF compression,

however this has the ability to display colours more effectively.
